Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) was established in 1959 under Statistics Act, 2015 BS as the central agency for the collection, consolidation, processing, analysis, publication and dissemination of statistics. It is under the National Planning Commission Secretariat (NPCS) of Nepal and serves as a national statistical organization of Government of Nepal. It generates timely and reliable socio-economic statistics mainly through the operation of censuses and surveys. The main objective of setting up CBS is to avail data to NPCS and other Government agencies for the formulation of national plans, policies and also produces national account estimates to measure the economic growth of the country.

Disability Research Centre (DRC) is a joint initiative of Kathmandu University School of Arts and UNICEF Nepal. It focuses on disability research, training and teaching from the perspective of social, economic and institutional linkages.

Karuna Foundation Nepal is a Nepali Non-Governmental Organization established in the year 2015. It aims to prevent avoidable disabilities among children and improve quality of lives of children and adults with disabilities and bring progressive changes in the lives of families at risk, developing evidence based scalable community models.

 

National Federation of the Disabled Nepal (NFDN) is legally registered nongovernmental organization (NGO) under the institutional enrollment act of Nepal. It is the national umbrella body of persons with disabilities, represents more than three hundreds member organizations working for promoting the rights of disabled people throughout the country.

UNDP Nepal works with the people and Government of Nepal, and other development partners to pursue equitable and sustainable human development goals through eradication of poverty, increase in livelihood opportunities, improvement in community resilience against conflict, disasters and impact of climate change, while laying down strong foundations for a society based on rule of law with an inclusive and participatory democracy.
